Chah-GAH-Cho is Wiyot for ‘not far away’ and was named at the dedication ceremony for the property. This 9.5-acre parcel was formerly pastureland and is transitioning back to native plants. It was the first property acquired by the McKinleyville Land Trust and is located adjacent to the Mill Creek Shopping Center and behind the Mill Creek Theaters in McKinleyville, California.

Come enjoy hiking the trails and discover one of the best views of the Mad River as it winds through the beautiful farmlands of Arcata Bottoms. Chah-GAH-Cho is open during daylight hours.
